Irish Medtech Skillnet
About the Irish Medtech Skillnet
Irish Medtech Skillnet is a learning network for companies of all sizes in the medical technology and engineering sector.
What does the Skillnet do?
We work in partnership with Skillnet Ireland and our contracting organisation, the Irish Medtech Association (Ibec sector), to respond to the training needs of the medtech sector. Since 2008, the Irish Medtech Skillnet has been a major driver of upskilling in the medtech and engineering sectors.
How do we operate?
We are funded through Skillnet Ireland from the National Training Fund through the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research and Science, and is contracted to the Irish Medtech Association, an Ibec sector.
As a learning network comprised of hundreds of member companies, these companies work collaboratively to share best practice and to respond effectively to the specific skills needs of the sector. The network addresses both technical and non-technical skills needs of members.
What is the Irish Medtech Skillnet's mission?
The mission of this national network is to enhance Ireland’s position as an emerging global medical technology hub by developing a strong talent base and enhancing the specialised knowledge and skills that exist within the sector.
Supports to Network Member Companies:
Membership of the network is open to private enterprises in the medical technology, and engineering sector, based in the Republic of Ireland.
