This programme was developed by experienced Industry professionals (Irish Medtech Advanced Expert Working Group) in collaboration with the Technical University of the Shannon (formerly Limerick Institute of Technology, to upskill and empower ‘Digital Champions’ within a manufacturing environment to achieve their full potential and add value to the business, through the integration of digitalisation systems, analysis and application of key data and expert appraisal of relevant technologies, tools and techniques in a range of relevant disciplines.

PROGRAMME MODULES AND DELIVERY
The delivery of the programme will be predominantly online through the Institutes Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle), Bootcamps and Workshops, and assessed through the (work-based) Applied Research Dissertation. Schedule consists of 18 contact days per year over a two year period, structured into two Bootcamps (4 days, Wed-Sat) and four optional Workshops (2 days – Fri-Sat) per year. Regular on-line tutorials will ensure continuous contact with the academic staff.
The majority of the credits and learning outcomes will be work-based, supported by a training programme of masterclasses, delivered through bootcamps, workshops, on-line tutorials, knowledge platforms, guest lecturers and site-visits.and and globally accredited business school.

Credits can also be earned through our Micro-Credentialing process, where candidates can attend one or more stand alone modules in response to a specific business need, or with the intention of gradually completing the full programme on an extended schedule.

The Masters in Digitalisation in Manufacturing is awarded by Technical University of the Shannon (TUS), formerly Limerick University of Technology, which has twice been named as Sunday Times ‘Institute of Technology of the Year’.
The University enjoys world-wide industry and academic research partnerships, including many in the business and computer technologies field with silicon-valley companies. Uniquely, TUS carries out joint research in the field of
biotechnologies with the US Space Agency, NASA.
