Manual Handling Instructor Refresher Course

Objectives

The aim of this Manual Handling Instructor Refresher course is to refresh your knowledge and Skills for delivering a manual handling Course.
The HSA recommends that a QQI refresher course takes place at least every five years.

Participants will need to bring along a copy of their QQI Level 6 Certification on the day.

Legislation relevant to manual handling

• Anatomy of the Spine
• Manual Handling Risk Assessment
• Relevance of Biomechanics to manual handling
• Importance of nutrition and exercise to back care
• Manual handling moves
  

AssessmentL written examination, project and practical asessment.
